"Diet for a New America" by John
Robbins (on the cover) says "Diet for a New America...should be read by
everyone interested in healthy living" - Andrew Weil, M.D. It was
years before I picked up a copy (I was unemployed and underemployed for quite
some time, as my former educated field of electronics is now done outside the
USA, and thus I could not afford a copy of it, but years later, the evidence and
info is still essential, great book. I will have to get his more recent book(s?)).
.
** "You Can Save the Animals" by Ingrid Newkirk, co-founder of
PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals http://www.peta.org
which is a great web site, and the PETA people are great people, I have met some
of the people who work for this great non-profit organization, and they are so
very nice, very helpful. All their controversial rabble-rousing has very
good intent, they are not trying to drag you or anyone down, they are just
trying to open your eyes and make a better world, for Animals and You. They also
have great advise for pet owners, such as never let cats out of the house (they
get run over, etc). http://www.peta.org
.
** "Slaughter House" daily violations against US Dept of Agriculture
regulations
"The Merck Manual: of medical information" is The Standard medical refrence in the medical field. I have the "Home Edition" and its available on CD too (I'd love to get that). A MUST.

Physiology, Chemistry, etc, etc. These are a Most Valuable asset

This web site has a new off shoot web site with lots of Health and Nutritional
information. I could just easily give up on my pages and link to vegan
outreach, they have most everything there, but I guess I might have a few things
they don't, and a different perspective. If you read my Health Pages
and their Health Pages you will be a top expert.

Vegan Outreach: Why Vegan?
a good resource
NEW: Vegan OK Products by PETA Oreos, Ritz Crackers, Wheat Thins, etc
Lists of animal free Alcohol for vegetarians, vegans, and anyone who wants it http://www.barnivore.com/
PREVIOUSLY: I mistakenly listed Sutter Home White Zinfandel on this and other pages, and only later found the error and even then forgot that I had it listed on another page too. The mistake was taken from another web site, which probably did not differentiate the difference between Sutter Home's Zinfandel and White Zinfandel, which are different, so always check Barnivore.com as things change. J&B used to be Vegan OK, but is no longer (or maybe it was an error too?). So always check the current standings. Jack Daniels is vegan OK but they now have a version with Honey which of course is not vegan ok (the bees will sting you to remind you). Also: Becks Dark may not be Vegan? AND Jack Daniels makes some other products which you should check first at Barnivore.com

Vegetarian dating club
http://veggiedate.org Go to this
site, you don't have to be a member to look at the people. Select the
entire USA (better yet the entire world, they are world wide) and select VEGAN's ONLY (they do have members in categories who are Vegans,
vegetarians, part time vegetarians, raw foods, or just interested in health, you
don't have to be a vegetarian to be a member), but select VEGAN's ONLY and
look at all those Healthy People. You'll want to be a vegan
too. If so, go get a copy of The Vegan Sourcebook (listed near the
top of the book selections).

PETA is an Animal Rights Organization which I am a member of; as I believe that we humans are animals too, and I have seen that when people do things to animals, it comes right back to you (God made us all and loves us all), what goes around, comes around, we can live in harmony with nature, or fight it ("don't piss into the wind" -old expression regarding going against nature), your choice, your karma, you can make a difference

HEALTH & FITNESS PIONEER JACK LA LANNE
I used to watch his exercise show on TV when I was a kid www.jacklalanne.com (Warning:
non-vegan info). I used to watch this guy on TV as a kid, he was
telling everyone long ago "you've got to get your Thiamine, Riboflavin
......" etc, etc. Now I talk just like him (just not as strong as
him, this guy used to pull a bunch of boats all tied to a rope he gripped with
his mouth, while swimming he would tow the boats, to show how strong he
is). However HE PROBABLY WAS NOT A VEGETARIAN (I think he might have eaten chicken, but am not certain? but other than that tried to eat healthy) .
