"CLOTHES MAKE THE MAN"
You wouldn't wear crummy clothes; what you eat is even more important. Eat at home , because restaurants don't care how much fat or what type of fat they give you. Cook with Olive Oil (sparingly, use a measuring spoon and count grams of fat).   Eat for survival and health.
.
Chocolate & Health:  "if you like chocolate, you will be glad to know that the body handles cocoa butter like olive oil--i.e.., cocoa butter does not raise cholesterol and has a beneficial effect on the serum lipid profile.  Buy high-quality dark chocolate only.  Milk chocolate contains butterfat, which moves cholesterol levels in the wrong direction, and cheaper products replace cocoa butter with undesirable fats like palm oil, which is highly saturated, or even with partially hydrogenated oils. Read labels!"  -Andrew Weil, M.D. "Eating Well for Optimum Health" pg 102

ANTIBIOTICS:
Need an Antibiotic due to sickness? "GOLDENSEAL" which you can get at your health food store is an antibiotic, no prescription needed. Note: I was very ill and got a powerful dosage of Goldenseal (and carefully removed it from the gelatin caps, I don't do gelatin), but it didn't work, I had to go to a doctor and get regular Antibiotics). I found out later that Golden Seal does not work well with blood type O.  I have heard of excellent reports from other blood types.

Find out what blood type you are and get "EAT RIGHT FOR YOUR TYPE" by Peter J D'Adamo MD
Different blood types get along with certain types of foods. For instance, my type, type O, does not get along well with Bran Cereal, otherwise a very excellent source of fiber. Type O are said to be better off as meat eaters, due to high protein requirements, but I get high protein from soy products (listed way below on this page). Some of D'Adamos claims are not absolute rules, but have shed great insight into better health.

ROCK SALT
Regular salt is heated to 1,700 degrees F to adhere chemicals, after which the salt will not break down in water, nor in your body, causing damage to your arteries and veins.   But granular Rock Salt (health food stores) will break down, and is much better for you.

THICK NECK? THYROID STUCK?
same thing, the doctor put me on Synthroid.  I read in "Nutrition for Dummies", "Schaums Human Anatomy", and "Idiots Guide to Vitamins & Minerals" that the Thyroid gets stuck from LACK OF IODINE (a condition termed "goiter", common in blood type O persons), as certain areas of the US have soils lacking in Iodine, thus the food grown does not supply what you need.   Get KELP Tablets or better yet Liquid Kelp or Sea Weed (if you can stand the taste of it) at the Health Food Store.   Most kelp tablets are 225 mcg (150% of the RDA). I advise around 1,000 mcg daily for blood type O persons.

OSTEOPEROSIS:  lack of calcium
is very rare in vegetarian women, the reason being: meat causes strong acidity which flushes out the stomach before it can digest the calcium in dark green leafy veggies which are high in calcium; while vegetarians have more time to digest the veggies which have enough calcium.   If you are a non-vegetarian, eat your salad and your meat in separate meals.
