1977 Brief job for Wendy's training to be manager of SF store.
Actual duties: Fry Cook, prep, clean up, in Watsonville CA Wendy's, both owned by Terry Bradshaw (Football Hall of Fame). I was told I would be a "Manager in training" for 1st Wendy's San Francisco store, (but never worked at SF store, only Watsonville). I worked 5 am to 1 am, Salary, (worked out to less than min wage). Resigned: long hours 20 hrs per day, duties did not include anything managerial, it was just a cheap way of getting low pay work, I reminded manager Bill Hawley (and my name is William Christopher Holley), that I was Manager in training, and he told me I would be "Manager of the French Fries" (and told the other manager in training he would be "Manager of busing the tables"). We were provided with a nice place to stay, a luxury place on the beach (I lived 2 counties to the north in Marin), but only allowed 4 hours sleep (strange). Pardon my resignation. (strange experience). It was the only job I could get (it was that or sell large kitchen knifes door to door, which I would not do, too threatening, both jobs found thru the College of Marin job placement). It was after this series of nightmares and lack of reasonable employment that I reluctantly left Marin and moved to L.A. CA. working briefly as a Waiter at Sam's Family Restaurant in Marin just before I left (they wanted me to wash dishes when the dishwasher walked out, but was primarily a waiter).
