PHOTOS are a pleasant reminder of a Good Date, Family Outing, Business Meeting, a Party of Friends, or Just You. I work for CASHMAN PHOTO: we do the showrooms, gourmet restaurants, fun rides, etc. Photos are a
permanent psychological re-enforcement of a Good Marriage Relationship and Family, as well as a nice reminder of Good Business Ties and Deals. You can never go back in time, except in your mind, and photos help. Some photos last a lifetime, and for generations to come.
SHOWROOMS: I photograph people in Las Vegas SHOWROOMS (approx. 822,000 photos taken as of 4/12/08, over 4 years (estimate by Robert @ Cashman)), before the show (a friendly, festive environment), and have the photos printed and packaged, ready to view, by the end of the show. There is NO COST OR OBLIGATION to have the photos taken or to look at them. You may view the photos after the show, and when you fall in love with them, then we hold them for ransom for a Reasonable Fee (set by Cashman Photo). NO COST OR OBLIGATION, UNLESS YOU DECIDE TO TAKE THEM HOME. (I am having a fantastic day if I sell 25 percent of the photos I have to sell, there is no obligation, we always sell a reasonable amount every day (it used to slow down in Winter, and at Tax Time April 15th).
I take effort to get good poses, I have studied "Body Language" (a branch of psychology) for many years, and use it to enhance my customers image, their relations, their pride, and their memories.

We photograph as many persons as we can, prior to shows, at no obligation, and sell them after the show as everyone comes out (no obligation, but what a good deal, and they sell. Get the ones you like, its your choice). The shows are a nice evening out, makes for a great date, or social outing for friends, and/or business associates.
GO UP TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER AND REQUEST PHOTOS, as we often do not get around to everyone. You may be waiting your turn, and may want photos, but we have no way of knowing who does, unless you tell us. TELL US YOU WANT PHOTOS and we will be happy to photograph you, no deposit, no obligation. GET TO THE SHOWROOM EARLY and line up, and come up to your photographer, and tell us that you would like photos, we will come to your table. I usually will shoot a couple of extras, so you will get a wider choice. If you GET IN EARLY (and TELL US RIGHT AWAY), then we have MORE TIME to pose you for better quality photos (and are more likely to give you our best, since you requested photos, you get better quality.
PREPARATION: Take 300 mg (up to 1,000 mg) of B vitamins before hand (at least 20 minutes before hand), to put a Smile on your face (B Vitamins keep people happy, especially B-6 (and B-12 also). Most grocery stores carry a multi-B (typically
labeled B Complex or B 100) with 5mg to 100mg of each B vitamin (B-1, B-2, B-3, B-6, B-12 combined). Get at least 100 mg size (not the weak 15 mg size). Drink lots of safe, bottled drinking water (good for you pH, your physical and psychological health).
WEAR NICE ATTIRE. (not mandatory, Las Vegas is formal and casual, we photograph everyone). Black & White attire (stripes, checks, dots) turns out quite out well (Don't wear all black, solid black, nor all Navy (black or navy causes focus time delays, out of focus photos, and black and navy do not show, same with black hats, use a white hat or a tan hat). Example: if a couple are both wearing black, and I do several poses, all the photos will show is all black with faces on top, because the distance fades to black, table cloths are black, etc). Colorful and quality attire is good (light blue is very nice, red and black looks nice, all white or solid white is excellent, looks great, and you can see it, I also advise the combination of red, black, and white, in stripes or Pokka dots, that show your shape. Shawls are nice (not black nor navy). My grandfather was a top man at Paramount Studios in Hollywood from the 1920's (RKO) till 1964 (Desilu/Paramount), and he worked on many famous movies, knew many famous stars, and said "The good guys wore white hats, and the bad guys wore brown hats, because black hats did not show on film".
(if both persons wear white), a white and black combination is perfect). If a man wears a dark suit, hopefully the lady will wear something lighter (easier to focus). Cowboys and other Hat persons, please wear White Hats (and ladies wear any colorful hats), as Black hats tend to blend in with the dark
background and can not be clearly seen in the resulting photos.
LADIES if you want to re-do your hair and makeup, please do so ahead of time (not when the camera person shows up). Do wear something to show your figure, be you a size A or D (low cut is nice, you may want a sweater to keep you warm after I take the photos, due to Air Conditioning).
PRACTICE SMILING in the mirror (some people don't know how to smile, learn; force yourself to smile; Psychologically: it's a healthy thing). "Smile till it hurts". "Smile and the world smiles with you". Smiles are contagious. Hold your head up. LOOK IN TO THE CAMERA LENS No one is going to take you to court and say "but you were looking into the camera lens, you must pay for the photos". Looking into the lens directly, makes for a much better photo.
"Why wont he just snap the camera?" Our cameras have an AUTO FOCUS which sometimes takes up to 8 seconds to resolve (especially for black or navy attire). We have a Pre-Focus light (that is not the Flash, it's not over yet). Or maybe someone being seated near you is sticking their rear end in your photo. Please be PATIENT, CALM and RELAXED, and continue smiling and looking INTO the LENS. DO NOT: fidget, jump around, look this way and that, don't talk thru your photo session (it does not show an image of being "in charge", it instead makes your mouth look funny and ruins the photo (often the photo you would have liked best), don't change your facial expression or eyes expecting me to capture a magic moment, that's in the movies, the reality is, SMILE, LOOK INTO THE LENS (keep your eyes open), REMAIN CALM. If the photographer suggests getting cheek to cheek, hold that pose till the photo is taken. So many people get cheek to cheek then part before I can take the photo. The photographer poses you for the photo, not as a ritual before the photo is taken. And guys, don't look so sorry and sad, there's no obligation to purchase, and you just might like some of the photos after all (I see it every day, guys say I always wanted one like that). You don't want to look sad. Flowers last a week, but Photos last a lifetime (an ideal gift of friendship or love, friends, family, lovers, business associates, business deals, a photo is a permanent image to be remembered).
POSES and ATTITUDES: Cooperate with your photographer, it makes for a better photo of you. If I have time, I get several poses. We are VERY BUSY, and must RUSH, in order to photograph as many people as we can in a small time frame (pardon us if we must move on quickly, the show begins soon, others want photos too, taking too much time clowning around takes away photos from those who wanted them, but we didn't have time for them, because some people clown around endlessly, so we move on quick).
I use BODY LANGUAGE in my poses to get better photos (see your local library, input "Body Language" to the computer (or search the web, limiting the search to .edu sites) for books and articles on Body Language (found in the Psychology section "B" stack). Body Language saying: intelligent, attractive, open, power, honesty, friendly, there are various body language poses for each of these. A SMILE is body language, and means the same thing world wide (and is psychologically healthy, a psychologist once told me "Force Yourself To Smile" (I thought it was hopeless, but it works). For photos: it helps to smile, but you don't have to smile, just show your upper teeth.
PHOTOS are a healthy re-enforcement for a relationship, be it just a date, deep love, business partners & deals (a Japanese business tradition), friends out for a good time, a family outing, or a family reunion.
FAMILY: I take a photo of the entire family group, then if I have time I photograph mom and dad as a couple, with separate photos of kids in mature poses (if time permits). It helps to have these photos as a reinforcement of the couple, as well as individuality of a child (and good childhood memories).
Individual photos are good for resumes and online dating.
In short, QUALITY PHOTOS ARE A GOOD DEAL; and something that I believe in. Professional quality poses, we use NIKON digital cameras, with 6X9 prints (photo lab on premises). CASHMAN PHOTO (since 1966) serves most Las Vegas Hotel Casinos (Cashman Photo Prices MAY VARY at various hotel casinos, and some locations do require deposits, most showrooms do not): Caesars, MGM, LV Hilton, Flamingo, Ballys, Rio, Tropicana, Imperial Palace, Riviera, Harrahs, Stratosphere, Treasure Is, Mirage, NYNY, (and we were doing Paris and Aladdin, not certain if we still do, we may be expanding); most major hotels, for SHOWROOMS and/or GOURMET DINING ROOMS (if there is not a photographer in the Dining Room, you may request one in most cases, in some Hotels we only do certain restaurants). Cashman Photo also does Weddings and Parties. So if you are dining, or just want photos, you can pick up the house phone and see if a photographer is available (Cashman Photographers use Nikon cameras, I used to use Cannon, and a Fuji for a while, but we now use Nikon D70 digital (now replaced by the D80).
