I am very impressed by these 2 books......
International Best Seller "HEAVENS MIRROR: Quest for the Lost Civilization" by Graham Hancock and Santha Faiia
"Fingerprints of the Gods" by Graham Hancock
Mankind has apparently been around for at least 3 million years, and Zoologist/Anthropologist Desmond Morris says that "the human brain has not evolved much in the past million years". I also heard more of the same on Face the Nation from a respected Evolutionary Biologist (did not catch his name sorry).
But RECORDED HISTORY goes back to around 10,000 BC, and the people who lived back then, were pretty much the same as we are today, the same brains, the same body, etc; because Evolution is so slow (that is why Genetic Engineering is potentially such a great step (with caution of course)).
Mutation is the only way we have evolved, and only very slowly.
These 2 books mentioned, go into various ruins of various past cultures (Pyramids in Egypt and in the Americas, etc) which were placed in important places. The Pyramids in Egypt are on third of the way from the Equator to the North Pole, and align exactly with the North Star. The Sphinx faces exactly where the constellation of Leo (looks just like the Sphinx) rose, one hour before dawn, on the Equinox, 10,000 years ago (the stars and the earths relation have changed since), and not only that, but as it rose, it was level along the horizon, looking just like another sphinx on the land, and the sphinx statue faced it exactly.
Many of the other ancient ruins were important angles away from the Pyramids, such as 144 degrees East, or 72 degrees East (if you have studied Math to an extent, you may be impressed, 72 X 5 = 360 degree circle, and 2 X 72 = 144, and 144 is in the Fibronacci Series (math), as well as the square of 12, and 144 has a vast history to itself).
Many of the ancient ruins corresponded (viewed on a map) with a map of the sky constellations, thus the name of the book "Heavens Mirror".
In the book store yesterday, I read in this book (or perhaps another Anthropology book I was interested in) that people live and die in short lifespans, and pass from generation to generation what we can. Much has been lost, with the sands of time. I often wonder how much of our civilization will be around in 10,000 years. Will our skyscrapers deteriorate or be demolished? Will the cement freeways eventually dissolve into rocks and sand? What will be left? Certainly not many wood houses (they do occasionally find some wood preserved due to mud slides in ancient times). How much more is there to find? How hard is it to find? (much of it has deteriorated).
"And so Castles Made of Sand, return to the sea, eventually" -Jimi Hendrix
There are also many fine books by Desmond Morris, well worth reading "The Naked Ape", "The Human Zoo", "Manwatching: a field guide to Human Behavior", and many more. Interesting to note: only recently, after years of being a Desmond Morris fan, I saw some of his Paintings, and they are allot like mine in some respects (much like Miro, one of my 3 favorite Artists (along with Renoir and Klee))
In "Heavens Mirror" there is much evidence of Astrology in Ancient Egypt, pictures, hieroglyphics, of the four fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, etc, and I have other books about this, and know a Sidereal Astrologer Sir Arthur Chadborne who is an expert in Ancient Sidereal Astrology. I am a Sidereal Astrologer too (but not an expert in the ancient version, although a bit familiar with it).
There are many photos in "Heavens Mirror" which show many things, including some very important things which I wont go into. There is an old Anthropological saying "Either you know what it is, or you don't". One person could look at the Ancient Art and not see it, another would know what I am talking about. Something, I'm not saying just what it was.....
One thing for certain, the sky has always been Blue.......
Many Ancient Cultures were barbaric and cruel. Even as recently as Ancient Rome, they fed people to lions in public display. The Aztecs and or Mayans were also quite cruel. Just a few years back we had legal slavery, and World Wars. Considering that man has not evolved much in the past million years, and that history repeats itself, we should show some concern. Right now we have a state of Peace. In order to keep it that way, we have to treat everyone as equals, regardless of money, race, creed, color, religion, national origin, intelligence, gender, gender preference, age, and species. It is the balance (Libra) of Karma and Karmic Return (what goes around comes around, God dishes it out, you don't have to), which may evolve to Peace (Libra). Keep your karma as clean as possible (no one is perfect), because God watches, even if no one else does, your karma is your karma. Living on the planet is no easy task, so often we take things for granted. We have enough issues over disease, natural disasters, quakes, floods, winds, droughts; that we don't need to go adding to the list with cultural issues of bad karma, such as war, greed, enslavement (min wage), starvation, nuclear waste dumps, etc.....
LETS WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE A GOOD WORLD or suffer the consequences (I have made my choice, a choice of Peace).
